Alan Campbell, of Revere, MA, passed away on January 27, 2025, after a brief illness. Born in Boston on July 8, 1955, Alan grew up as a proud “Townie” in Charlestown, MA. He was the beloved son of the late John and Winifred Campbell. A devoted father, Alan’s greatest joy in life was his son, Paul Campbell of Florida. He was his biggest supporter, especially throughout Paul’s baseball journey, and beamed with pride whenever he spoke about him. Alan was also a cherished brother to Brenda Mahan and is survived by many loving family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Jackie and Paul Campbell, his sister, Denise Campbell, and his beloved Jake Halloran, whom he loved as a son. Alan was a dedicated and hardworking crane operator for the International Longshoremen’s Association of Boston. He took great pride in his work and the bonds he built within his community. He was also the current President of Club 24 in Malden, MA, where he proudly celebrated 21 years of sobriety—a milestone that reflected his strength, resilience, and commitment to helping others.
A lover of fancy sports cars and the thrill of driving fast, Alan found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether he was soaking up the sun on a beach in Revere or Florida, he embraced every moment with enthusiasm. Alan’s legacy of love, dedication, and perseverance will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be sorely missed, but his spirit will forever remain with those whose lives he touched.
