SORBELLO~ Alfred R. Esq. of Saugus formerly of Revere and Medford on July 7, after a long battle with Parkinson's at the age of 83. Son of the late Italian immigrants Salvatore and Rose (Lombardo) Sorbello. Beloved companion of 30yrs to Carol Ann Mosca of Saugus. Devoted step-father of Frank Mosca and wife Maria of FL, Cheryl McGrath and husband Doug, Michelle Napolitano and husband Nicholas all of Revere. Also survived by 6 loving grandchildren. At the age of 17 Alfred served in WWII. He went on to attend NYU School of Commerce, Accounts and Finance, 1947-1951, with which he graduated with a bachelors of science degree. He was the captain of his track team and also played football. Mr. Sorbello worked as an insurance adjuster and claims manger for a local insurance agency. He worked days in the Worcester area while attending Suffolk Univ. Law School nights, graduating in 1965. He became an attorney at the age of 38. He was an avid Red Sox fan and a season ticked holder since 1968. In 1966 he went into private law practice with his longtime friend, Glen Shriberg, they formed the law firm of Shriberg & Sorbello in Assoc. Located at One State St.,Boston,MA. He practiced law until he was 82 years of age. Funeral from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons~Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St., REVERE on Monday, July 12, 2010 at 9am. Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Sunday from 4~8pm. Late member of the Medford ITAM. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Winchester.
