Angelo Nocella

March 5, 1931 — March 3, 2022

Nocella, Angelo of Malden passed away at home, surrounded by his loved ones, on March 3, 2022 at the age of 90. Born in Gaeta, Italy on March 5, 1931 to the late Vincenzo and Josephine (Perrone) Nocella. Beloved husband of 64 years to the late Dorothy (Buttaro) Nocella. Devoted father of Michelle D'Amato and her husband Richard of Peabody, and Doreen Schmidt and her husband Mark of Plymouth. Cherished Grampy of Deanna, Gerrilyn and Janine D'Amato, and Michael Schmidt. Dear brother of the late Elia Nardone and her late husband Angelo. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews including those in Italy. Angelo immigrated to the U.S. when he was eighteen years old. Not long after, he met his wife while working at Boston Sausage. He spent most of his working years devoted to working in the meat packing industry. He retired from Old Neighborhood in Lynn where he worked for many years. He was known to many at all of the Market Baskets on the North Shore. Due to his love for cooking, he had frequent trips there each week. No one could pull off a Christmas Eve feast quite like him! Angelo was a die-hard Red Sox fan who enjoyed going to the games with his wife and grandchildren. He enjoyed working on projects around the house, spending time with his family and celebrating all of his family's milestones. He enjoyed summers at the Cape, boating, having a clam bake and cooking delicious meals. He will always be remembered for his commitment to his family, his dedication to friends and his tremendous heart behind it all. He will truly be missed. A Visitation will be held at the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St, Revere on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am followed by an 11 am Mass at St. Anthony's Church in Revere. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Entombment Holy Cross Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Angelo's name to the Saints Cosmas & Damian Society (S. S.
