Anthony J. Colometo

We come together to celebrate the life of Anthony Joseph Colometo (67), a man whose laughter filled any room, and whose love for his family was boundless. Born in Winthrop on February 19, 1957, to the late Leonard Colometo and Mary Josephine (Cattoggio).

Anthony was a man of many talents, but his most defining trait was perhaps his incredible sense of humor. His goofiness was infectious. Making him the source of his children and grandchildren’s countless smiles. He was the type of man who could find humor in even the most ordinary situations, turning mundane moments into cherished memories. As a dedicated MBTA mechanic for 46 years, Anthony demonstrated his hard work ethic.

Aside from his work, what mattered most to Anthony was his family. He was a loving husband of 43 years to Denise (Dascoli). Adored father of Anthony Colometo Jr. of Everett, Lisa Klein and her husband Michael of Billerica, and Katelyn Baionete of Chelmsford. Cherished grandfather of Isabella and Lilah Klein, and Sophia and Nicholas Baionete. Dear brother of Gerard Colometo and his wife Gale of Lowell, and the late Leonard Colometo and his surviving wife Carol, and the late Annmarie Russo and her surviving husband Joseph. Also survived by loving nieces and nephews. The love he had for his family was immense, a testament to the kind and warm-hearted man he was.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday January 9, 2025, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Paul Buonfiglio Sons-Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St, Revere. Funeral on Friday, January 10, 2025, at 10:00am. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Revere at 11:00am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
