Pavone, Anthony M. of Revere formerly of East Boston passed away on Sept 7th. At age 82. In his early years and humble beginnings, Anthony shined shoes on the Boston ferries, he joined the Navy 1942 during the war and was honorably discharged. After his release he was schooled in electronics, carpentry and mechanics. In the late 50's he became a baker at Godfrey's in Saugus with a vision of opening his own bakery. His dream was realized in the late 60's when he opened his bakery, My Donuts. His slogan of "My donuts once, yours forever" rang true as his success soared. He was able to retire at age 53 enabling him to pursue his true passion for boating which he enjoyed up until his last years. His other joys included traveling, fine dining and a lust for life. Everyone close to him will recall his kind gestures, compassion and honesty. He will be sadly missed but forever happily remembered by his two sons Joseph E. Pavone & his wife Betty L. of NH and Michael A. Pavone of Winthrop, Former wife Marjorie Bresnahan and her daughter Cindy Sullivan of NH. His 7 loving grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, his sister Connie Surette and the late Mary Petrillo and Samuel Pavone as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St. Revere on Saturday Sept 12th at 9:00am Funeral Mass in St Anthony's Church 10:00am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Friday 12:00 to 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham, Ma 01701.
