Anthony C. Russo

Anthony Charles Russo, mostly known and referred to by all as “Uncle Anthony”; astounding pianist, avid card player, lover of all things Sci-Fi and electronic passed away beautifully in his home, surrounded by four loving generations of his family on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at the blessed age of 93 years young; because as he always said, “You’re only as young as you feel!” Beloved, devoted, and proud brother of the late Mary Mastrorio (Russo) of Revere, Alfonso Russo of Saugus, Larry Russo of Georgetown, Charles Russo of Revere, Joseph Russo of Georgetown, and James Russo of South Carolina. Cherished brother in law of the late Joseph Mastrorio Sr. of Revere, the late Rena Russo of Saugus, the late Anna Russo of Georgetown, the late Katie Russo of Peabody, Rita Russo of Georgetown, Donna Russo of South Carolina, and honorary brother in law to Geri Damiano of Revere. Absolutely adored and unconditionally loved Uncle of his “#1” niece Judy Cipolla, his “favorite” great niece Jade Baglio (Cipolla) and her husband Robert Baglio. Great, Great Uncle of Makyla (KyKy), Paul, Joseph (Joey), his “namesake” Anthony, and Coral Baglio {all of Revere} whom had the honor of living with him and cherishing each milestone shared. A mentor to many he is also survived by multiple generations of nieces, nephews, family, and friends who became family. 

The family welcomes all who loved him to come celebrate his life Saturday, December 28, 2024, from 9:00-11:00AM with an 11:00AM prayer service at Paul Buonfiglio & Sons Funeral Home 128 Revere Street, Revere, MA 02151. Burial Will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. 

Per his request, in lieu of flowers a donation can be made to his 7 year old, great, great nephew Paul Baglio to help fight his battle with a rare aggressive cancer. Donations can also be made through Paul Baglio’s Go Fund Me account.
