Arthur A. Pierni

Pierni Arthur A 96, of Revere , died peacefully on Sept 22nd at Chelsea Jewish Rehabilitation and Nursing Home after a brief illness. Beloved son of the late Theodore and Amelia (Santosuosso) Pierni. Dear brother of Albert of Revere, Ernest of Andover, Jeanette LeDonne of Revere and the late Carl, Theodore Jr, Rose Parisi and Caroline Cella. Also survived by 12 nieces and nephews and several grand and great grand nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St Revere on Saturday Sept 24th at 9:00 am. Funeral Mass in St Anthony's Church at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be Friday "today" 4-8. Arthur worked the family business, United Super market, originally located on Revere St, Revere and later expanded to the United Supermarket on the Lynnway. As the Business truck driver, Arthur is remembered driving into Boston in the wee hours of the morning picking up slabs of meat and produce. Late WW II Army Veteran. After retirement in 1973 , Arthur enjoyed golfing in Nahant, Visiting with family, traveling as far as Hong Kong and residing part time in Florida working on his golden tan.
