Toste, Bernadette (Cavallo) passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 9, 2024, at the age of 76. Born in Waltham on February 11, 1948, to the late Joseph Cavallo and Antonette (LaFerrara). Her life was a testament to the warmth and love she carried within her. A loving mother, a dedicated wife, and a generous friend, Bernadette's spirit was as fierce and enduring as her heart was kind. The world was brighter because of her, and her spirit will continue to light the way for those she has left behind.
Bernadette spent most of her life in Revere, Massachusetts, where she made a home filled with love and laughter with her beloved husband of 56 years, Salvatore Toste. Cherished mother of Robyn Toste and Kimberly Fitzgerald. Adored grandmother of Brandon Toste and his wife Amanda, Travis Toste and his fiancé Raven, Jake Fitzgerald, and Alexis and Paul Larsen. Caring great grandmother of Aubree and Aria Toste. Dear sister of Anna Valarese and her late husband Michael “Harpo”, Dolores Puopolo and her late husband Joseph, and the late Celeste Goggin and her late husband William, and the late Elizabeth Cavallo. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bernadette was a courageous woman whose resilience and strength were evident throughout her battle with cancer. Her selflessness and love shined brightest in her dedication to her family. Every moment spent with them was a cherished memory, a testament to the depth of her affection. Bernadette’s life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and courage, woven with threads of joy, resilience, and generosity.
A Visitation will be held at the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons Funeral Home 128 Revere St, Revere, on Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. Funeral from Paul Buonfiglio Funeral Home on Monday at 9:00am followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Revere at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bernadette’s name to Dana-Farber Cancer Research, Division of Development, P.O.
