Carmela (Iannuzzo) Penta, of Revere, formerly of Everett, on November 27, 2022 at the age of 89. Born in Sant’Angelo all’Esca to the late Anthony and Maria (Maffeo) Iannuzzo Beloved wife of the late Raffaele Penta. Devoted mother of Mary Ann Pepe of Revere, Joseph "Joe" Penta and his wife Virginia " Gigi " of FL, and Anthony Penta of Peabody. Cherished grandmother of Michael Pepe, Joseph Pepe, Anthony Pepe, Raffaele Penta, Nicole Penta, Gianna Penta and great-grandmother of Domenic Pepe. Dear sister of Marietta D'Orsi of Revere, Raffaele Iannuzzo of Italy and the late Italia Lumini. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Carmela immigrated to the U.S. from Italy in June 1956. She worked many years in the Revere High School Cafeteria. Funeral from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons – Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere St, Revere on Thursday, December 1st at 9:00 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony's Church at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association by visiting www.act.alz.org/donate.
