Celestia Tugade Desierto

Desierto, Celestia (Tugade)- of Olongapo City, Philippines passed away unexpectedly January 19, 2020. The beloved wife of the late Edilberto Desierto, she was 59 years old. Daughter of the late Loreto and Elvira Tugade. The cherished mother of Edcel, Edmund, Edward, Eder and Eddie Desierto. Dear sister Nestor Tugade, Mercy Gerace, Florante Tugade and the late Ernesto Tugade. She is also lovingly survived by her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Celestia was adored by her children and grandchildren. Everything she did was for her family, often making sacrifices in order to provide them with a better life. She would always worry about what to cook and made sure no one ever went hungry. A pot of dinuguan was ready any time her children returned home. Celestia was passionate about food, among her favorites were diningding, dinuguan, igado, bihon, lechon, halo halo, avocado, palabok, laing, eggpie and kasoy. Celestia had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening. This hobby which she shared with her son brought her great joy. She enjoyed being outside in the fresh air. Celestia could also be found infront of the television, never missing an episode of Tuflo. She enjoyed traveling very much and had hoped one day to visit Thailand. Celestia was very proud of her children and all of their accomplishments. She was always there for them, no matter what. Her children appreciated their mother more than she would ever know. Her time here on earth was cut short. She will be missed terribly by those she’s left behind. Celestia will return to her native Philippines for burial.
