Claire Ferrara (DeSimone) passed away on March 25, 2024, at the age of 88. Born on April 29, 1935, in Everett, Massachusetts, Claire was the beloved daughter of the late Michael DeSimone and Helena (Marois) DeSimone. Her witty spirit, loving nature, and courageous grit were evident from a young age and continued to shine throughout her life.
Claire, a long-time resident of Revere, Massachusetts, was a dedicated homemaker, pouring her warmth and care into making a home for her family. Her love story with her late husband, Horis Ferrara, was one for the ages. She was a loving mother to her children, Sandra Marino and her husband Nick, Lisa Ferrara, and the late Ricky and Randy Ferrara. Her radiant love extended to her cherished grandchildren, Rick Griffin and Azzery Ferrara. Claire's family will always remember her infectious laughter, her delicious home-cooked meals, and the way she made each of them feel special.
Her love extended beyond her immediate family to her siblings, Michael DeSimone and his late wife Laurie, the late Jeanette Angeletti (George), late Raymond LaCroix, and late Joseph LaCroix (Rita). The bonds Claire shared with her many loving nieces, nephews, and her beloved dog Cholo, were truly special. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and courage that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A Funeral Mass in honor of Claire will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St, Revere, on Friday, April 5, 2024, at 12:00pm. Following the mass, she will be entombed at the Holy Cross Mausoleum.
To remember Claire is to remember a life well-lived, a woman well-loved, and a legacy well-remembered. We encourage you to share your memories of Claire and upload photos to the memorial page. Your stories and pictures will serve as a tribute to Claire's remarkable life and the love she shared with us all.
