Diane Marie DeSantis, affectionately known to many as Aunt Di, passed away on September 5, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and an infectious spirit that will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. Born on October 30, 1946, in Everett, MA, Diane lived a life marked by her generous heart, her love for family and friends, and an unwavering belief in the boundless potential of those around her.
Diane was a proud member of the St. Rose School (Chelsea, MA) Class of 1964, where she met a lifelong group of friends, her “St. Rose girls”. She went on to attend Fisher College, where she earned degrees in business management and the healthcare industry.
As an entrepreneur, Diane spent 60 years in the medical billing industry, founded New England Accounts Receivable Management and was an active member of the Healthcare Billing and Management Association. Her commitment to her work was equal to her dedication to her loved ones; she never failed to inspire those around her with her tenacity and drive. She was also a mentor at SCORE, where she generously shared her knowledge and experience with budding entrepreneurs. In her free time, Diane found joy in simple pleasures - spending summer days by the pool with family and friends, entertaining and feeding a crowd every holiday, playing with her dogs, and working in her garden. Her love for life was truly contagious, and she had an uncanny ability to make everyone around her feel special and valued.
Her love and warmth will forever be missed by her partner, Jim Logsdon, her nephews Chris and Jason Weeks, her niece-in-law Lollie Weeks and her great-nephews Jackson and Brody Weeks. Diane was preceded in death by her father and mother, Robert and Rose (Basanisi) DeSantis, her sister Eleanor (DeSantis) Weeks, and her brother-in-law, Herbert Weeks. We find solace in the fact that she is reunited with them now.
Let us celebrate the life of Diane, a woman who believed that anything was possible and made others believe it too. Her memory will forever be a reminder of her undying spirit, her love for life, and the joy she brought to all of us. We encourage you to share your memories and photos of Diane on her memorial page, as a tribute to her extraordinary life. Her spirit will forever remain alive in our hearts.
