Emily Burstein

Emily Burstein of Ludlow Ma, formally of Billerica, MA, entered into rest on January 7, 2025, at the age of 74. She was a loving and devoted wife of the late Phillip H. Burstein, also a Beloved Mother of Danielle Burstein and her partner Tara Popec. The loving sister of Maryann Drohan and her late husband John of Melrose, MA, and Anthony Caggiano and wife Sarah of Winermere, FL, Beloved aunt of Michelle Drohan. Caitlin Caggiano and Courtney Caggiano, Garrett and wife Sara Caggiano and Jackson Caggiano. Dear daughter of the late Anthony Caggiano Sr and Theresa M. Caggiano (Capano).

She grew up in Melrose, MA, and graduated from Malden High school and raised her family in Billerica, MA. Emily worked at MetLife as a secretary for 25 years. She also worked at Pearson giving the nursing board exams for a few years before retirement. 

She enjoyed going out to eat and also to get her butter pecan iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts. Regardless of her prior struggles with dementia, she always smiled and was known for her infectious laughter that was magnetic to those around her. She cherished her time spent with family, friends and vacationing in Puerto Rico.

 A visitation for Emily will be held at Buonfiglio Funeral Home 128 Revere Street, Revere, MA on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 3:00-7:00PM. A funeral Service with be held Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 10:00AM. Funeral Mass at 12:00PM at Saint Anthony’s Church in Revere, MA and burial at Holy Cross Cemetery,Malden, MA
