MATTERA~ Gabriel D. of Revere on July 25, 2014. Beloved husband of Gloria M. (DiMattia) of Revere. Devoted father of Elaine M. Mattera and Steven Mattera & wife Marie all of Revere. Loving grandfather of Amanda E. Ciardi and Michael F.G. Mattera. Dear brother of the late Richard A. Mattera, Aurelius Mattera, Anne Feruzzi and Madeline Rossetti. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons~Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St., REVERE on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 10am. Funeral Mass in St. Anthony’s Church at 11am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 4-8pm. Gabriel was a lifelong resident of Revere, A printer for the Revere Journal before moving on to teach Graphic Arts at the N.E. Regional Vocational School in Wakefield. He was a faithful and proud Marine, Gabriel Mattera Served in the US Marine Corp from 1943 until 1986. He was a caring and kind gentleman, who was blessed with many friends.
