Giovannina (Longo) Lapolla

Giovannina Lapolla, 93. Of East Boston formerly of Panni, Foggia in Italy. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 10, 2021. Daughter of the late Nicola Longo and Michelina Calabrese Longo of Italy. Beloved wife of the late Nicola Lapolla, who predeceased her in 2009. Loving mother of Michael Lapolla and his wife Marisa of Revere and Salvatore Lapolla and his companion Jeanette D’Angelo of Revere. Cherished “Nonna” of Joanne Lapolla and her husband Harry Colangelo of Winchester, Lori Lapolla Rankin and her husband Darren of Hudson, NH, Lucy Lapolla and her husband Fabio Colasante of Revere, Nicholas Lapolla and wife Roselyn Maina of Revere, and Michelle Whiteley and husband Sean of Revere. Adored “Bisnonna” of Talia Duca, Serra Lapolla, Alana Maiullo, Nicholas S. Lapolla, Harry Michael Colangelo, Giada and Luca Colasante. Treasured sister of Norina Colannino of Revere and the late Michele Longo of Revere. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family in Italy and Canada. Giovannina had an impressive green thumb which flourished in her garden and under her grapevine. She will always be remembered for her love of lemon cake and cookies, her stylish tall white sock and sneaker combinations, and her penchant for a good glass of red wine each evening with dinner. She will be dearly missed by all. Due to the current restrictions with Covid 19 all services will be privately held by the immediate family. Entombment Holy Cross Mausoleum.
