Gloria (Dimattia) Mattera

Mattera, Gloria (DiMattia), a lifelong resident of Revere passed away on July 2, at the age of 90. Born on December 18, 1927 to the late Carmen and Nellie (Gallo) DiMattia. Beloved wife of the late Gabriel Mattera. Devoted mother of Steven Mattera and his wife Marie and Elaine Mattera, all of Revere. She was the cherished grandmother of Michael F.G. Mattera and Amanda Ciardi. Gloria was the dear sister of the late Camille Repucci. After graduating from Revere High, Gloria worked for John Hancock, then married and raised her family on Roland Rd. Gloria and Gabriel were founding members of Colonial Acres Civic Club. Gloria held dear her wonderful friends at the Revere and Winthrop Senior Centers. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony’s Church in Revere on Friday July 6, 2018 at 12:00pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Funeral arrangements under the direction of the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St, Revere.
