DiCarlo, Helen "Auntie", of Wellesley, formerly of Revere, passed away peacefully at home in her niece's arms on Friday evening, November 18th. She was 87. Helen was born March 7th 1924 in Hudson New Hampshire to the late Michael and Antoinette Karuzis. She later married Domenic DiCarlo of Revere and had a loving daughter, the late Jean Badolato. Helen spent the rest of her life at 52 Thorndike Street in Revere, Massachusetts, and the last seven years with her adoring niece Renee Gold, of Wellesley. Family was the focal point of Helen's life. She was the beloved sister of the late Ruth DeMatteo, Steve, Alfred, John, Joseph and Zigit Karuzis.Helen is survived by three grandchildren Darlene Fusco of Revere, Joseph Badolato of Lynnfield and James Badolato of Revere, six great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and several dedicated companions, including Grace Coletti of Hopkinton. Helen's legacy is one of pure love and a happy and peaceful heart. Her niece Renee refers to her as "Mother Teresa in high-heels”. Helen will be profoundly missed by all who know and love her, including the followers of her blog Ageless with Aunty www.reneegold.com. Donations can be made in Helen's memory to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St Framingham Ma 01970 Funeral From the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St Revere on Saturday Nov 26th at 10:00 am. Funeral Mass in St Anthony's Church at 11:00 am. Relatives and friends are Kindly Invited. Visiting Hours will be Friday 3:00-7:00 pm. Interment will be in Holy cross Cemetery
