James E. Marsh Jr.

James Edward Marsh Jr., a dedicated husband, father, and Veteran, passed away on May 7, 2024, at the age of 75. Born in Saugus, Massachusetts, on February 20, 1949, to the late James E. Marsh Sr. and Mafalda (Puccino), James lived a life full of love and commitment.

James, or as many knew him, Jimmy, was a loving husband to Karen (Rizzo) for 37 wonderful years. His dedication to his family was evident in the way he cherished his relationship with his daughter, Janelle Marsh, and her boyfriend Corey Noel. James' love extended beyond his immediate family, as he was also a dear brother-in-law to Michael Rizzo Jr. and his wife Jane, Jerry Rizzo and his wife Lisa, and Paul Rizzo. He was a beloved uncle to many, and his bond with his grand pup Lexi was one to admire.

James proudly served his country in the United States Navy in Vietnam from 1966 to 1970.  He was a member of the DAV, VFW, and 714 club.  Jimmy worked for 17 years in the postal service before retiring and owning and operating J. Marsh Trucking.  He was a past Reservist on the Saugus Police Department.  James was a man of resilience and dedication. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, whether it was with his business or with his family. His love for his community was reflected in his reliable service, and his commitment was appreciated by everyone who knew him. His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who loved him.

Funeral services will commence from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere St, Revere, on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 8:45am. A Mass will be held in honor of James at the Blessed Sacrament in Saugus at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visitation will take place on Monday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home.
