James Wastaferro

James Carl Wastaferro, a resilient and dedicated man, passed away on May 15, 2024. Born in Stoneham, Massachusetts on February 2, 1945, James was raised in Somerville and Medford before moving to Revere, Massachusetts. He was the son of the late Carl and Mary Wastaferro, and the beloved husband of the late Irene J. (Ferraro) Wastaferro for 51 cherished years.

James was a hardworking provider, dedicating 57 years of his life to his career as a plumber, running his successful business, JW Plumbing. His dedication wasn't limited to his profession; he also proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  He had a true love for working on cars especially his 1969 corvette. His steadfast resilience and commitment will be remembered by all. James was the devoted father of Doreen Bolton and her husband Jay, Robert Wastaferro and his wife Janel, Ronald Wastaferro and his wife Sharon, and Carleen Wastaferro and her fiancé Rob Sullivan. He was the cherished grandfather of Juliana, Sofia and Isabella Bolton, Christa and James Wastaferro, Victoria Wastaferro and Joseph Sullivan. James was the dear brother of Josephine Newell and is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Church at 250 Revere Street, Revere, on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at 2:00 pm at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
