Janet A. (Silva) Dampolo

After a brief battle with lung cancer, Janet Ann Dampolo ( Silva) died peacefully on July 27, 2015 in Melrose at age 77. She leaves behind her three sons; Gary Dampolo of Georgia, Scott Dampolo and his wife Tina of Stoneham and Mark Dampolo of Stoneham. She also leaves her two grandchildren; Jesse Dampolo and his wife Rachel and Tara Dampolo and her fiancé Micheal Teneriello. Janet was born on April 29, 1938 in Chelsea, Ma to the late Anthony and Mildred (Adams) Silva. She grew up in a loving family in Revere. After high school she attended hairdressing school. Janet owned her own salon in Woburn and worked as a hairdresser until she retired at age 60. She married the late Frederick Dampolo in 1973 and raised their three sons in Stoneham. Funeral from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons~Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St., REVERE on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 9 am. Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church at 10:30 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation Wednesday from 9-10am. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.
