Janet Louise (Chianca) LaMonica, born on March 2, 1951, in Boston, Massachusetts, lived her life as the embodiment of three words: loving, thoughtful, and compassionate. A resident of Winthrop, Massachusetts, after spending her earlier years in East Boston, Janet's life was a testament to the power of family bonds, the joy of companionship, and the enduring warmth of a grandmother's love.
Janet, was cherished by her three children: Vincent LaMonica, Victoria LaMonica, and Daryle LaMonica and his wife Courtney. Her spirit will continue to live on through them, her four grandsons, three granddaughters and two great-grandsons. She was the treasured companion of Peter Quinn for more than two decades, their relationship a beautiful tapestry of shared moments and mutual support. Janet is also survived by her brothers, Anthony and Kenny Chianca and Daniel Rao and her former husband, John LaMonica. Janet will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Her memory will forever be honored by her family and all those who knew her.
Janet is joined in heaven with her siblings James Chianca, Frank "Sonny" Rao, Robert Rao, Jean Murphy, and Eleanor DeBay. The love and shared experiences between them were the building blocks of Janet's character and the foundation of the family's strength.
