Janice Mercier

Janice Mercier of Everett passed away on February 15, 2025, at the age of 79. Born in Chelsea on July 19, 1945, to the late Robert Roffa and Viola (Caputo). To honor her memory, we share her journey, celebrate her spirit, and pay tribute to the remarkable life she led.

Janice, a woman of indomitable spirit and unwavering resilience, spent her life in service of others, both as an administrative assistant in the state municipal offices and as a dedicated mother.

Janice's journey was not just one of professional fulfillment but also of personal triumphs. Her strength was evident in the way she raised her sons, as a single mother, instilling in him the values of hard work, perseverance, and compassion. She was a beacon of strength and grace in the face of life's storms and a constant source of inspiration to those who knew her.

She was a devoted mother of Robert Sproul of Seabrook, NH, and Michael Sproul and his wife Jennifer of Peabody. Dear sister of Annette DeGregorio and her husband John of Everett, and the late Deana Chase. Cherished grandmother of Gianna, Anjelia, and Cameron. Also survived by loving nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held at the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons Funeral Home 128 Revere St, Revere on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm followed by a 4:00pm Prayer Service in the Funeral Home.
