Joan (Dimodica) Destefano

DeStefano, Joan M. (DiModica) - of Revere, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2021 at 90 years of age. Joan was born to the late Philip and Mary (Coco) DiModica. Beloved wife of 70 years to the late Edward J. DeStefano, Sr. Cherished mother of Jane Murphy and her husband Robert of Melrose, Denise Cole and her husband Mitchell of Peabody, Edward DeStefano Jr. of Revere and Michael DeStefano and his wife Rosemarie of Revere. Cherished grandmother of Sarah Murphy and her husband Adrian Haimovich, Robert Murphy, Julia DeStefano, Christopher Cole and Sophia DeStefano. Adored great-grandmother of Luca Haimovich. Dear sister of Marie Fallon of Revere and the late Frank, Domenic, Joseph & Catherine DiModica, Rose Carroll, Carmela Doherty, Frances Dakin and Celia Kelleher. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 133 Beach St, Revere at 10:30 AM. Friday, October 29, 2021 (Masks are requested upon entrance to church). A Private Interment will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Joan's tireless dedication to her family and extended family was evident in everything she did. She was anchored by her Catholic faith and never missed Sunday Mass. Joan was a proud member of the Revere School Department for many years before her retirement in 1994.
