Joan Ann Russo

Joan Ann (O'Hara) Russo, of Revere, passed away after a brief illness on February 9, 2023 at the age of 76. Born in East Boston on April 11, 1946 to the late Hugh J. O'Hara and Antonette Oliva. Beloved wife of the late John Russo. Devoted mother of the late Anthony F. Albano and Christine Albano of Revere and her longtime partner Santos Hernandez. Cherished grandmother of Michael Martorelli and his fiancé Jacqueline Noel, Matthew Martorelli, and Dalayna Albano. Dear sister of Mary McKinlay of FL. Adored aunt of Toni-Ann Moreira and her husband Manny of Billerica, Walter Penachio and his wife Chiyeen of Florida and the late Tammy Manzo Ramirez. Great-aunt of Manny, Robbie, Cassie, Logan and Chloe. Mother-in-law of Dyanna Albano. Also survived by many loving friends,extended family and her beloved dog Maxx. Joan graduated from Winthrop High School alongside the Class of 1964. For over ten years she worked for the Revere Public Schools in the cafeteria.
