It is with a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of Joanna Pineda, whose resilience and loving spirit will forever remain in our hearts. Born on February 16, 1993, in East Boston, Massachusetts, Joanna was a beacon of compassion and humor, effortlessly weaving these qualities into the fabric of her life and the lives of those around her. Although she recently settled in Rehoboth, Massachusetts, the echo of her laughter lives on. She grew up in East Boston, where her warmth and kindness touched all who knew her.

Joanna was a woman of many talents. Her green thumb made her garden an enchanting oasis, a testament to her patience and care. She found joy in the simple pleasure of turning the pages of a good book, exploring the wonders of nature through hiking, and most notably, creating charming costumes and clothing for her children through her newfound passion for sewing. Joanna was also dedicated to her spiritual life, attending church every Sunday, bringing her closer to her faith and community.

Yet, what mattered most to Joanna was her family. She was a devoted mother to her three children, pouring love and nurturing energy into their upbringing. She was also an amazing wife to her husband, Marvin, standing by his side as a pillar of strength and love. Her mother,  Blanca Saravia, remember her as a beacon of joy, spreading love and laughter wherever she went.

A visitation for Joanna will be held on Sunday, December 29th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 128 Revere Street, Revere, MA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 30th, at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Parish , 1317 Centre Street , Newton, MA. Interment will follow at Newton Cemetery & Arboretum, 791 Walnut Street, Newton, MA.
