John G. Gallo

Gallo, John G. of Revere on February 10, 2019. Born and raised in Gaeta, Italy to the late Giovanni and Santina (Cavicchio) Gallo. Beloved husband of 58 years to Lucy (Rinaldi). Devoted father of John Gallo and his wife Sheri of Tampa, FL. Cherished grandfather of Julia and Sara Gallo. Dear brother of Rosa Gallo of Italy, Antonio Gallo and his wife Maria of Belgium, and the late Nunziatina Valente, Maria Toscano, and Damiano Gallo. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. John began his life’s journey in the small fishing village of Gaeta. He served in the Italian navy and made his career as a Merchant Marine, until his arrival to the United States at age 25. He worked as a tailor in the clothing industry in the Boston area, where he met his loving and devoted wife, Lucy. Later he changed careers to the computer industry at Honeywell, where he ultimately retired. John was and will always be remembered as a loving, humble, and caring gentleman with an amazing sense of wanting to help people… wanting nothing in return but respect. Anyone who knew John would say, “What a beautiful man. We love John”. Our family grieves the loss of our Patriarch. Funeral from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St, Revere on Friday, February 15, 2018 at 9:00am. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony’s Church at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451 or to charity of choice . Interment St. Michael’s Cemetery in Roslindale.
