John A. Lopez ,of Londonderry NH, formerly of Malden and Boston's North End, passed away unexpectedly on January 24, 2023. Born and raised in Boston's North End to the late Antonio and Domenica (Freire) Lopez. Beloved husband of 49 years to Jennie (Cammarata). Devoted father of Cara Lopez and her wife Nicole Lopez of Lynn, Daria Mlynarski and her husband James of Derry, NH, and Anthony Lopez of Stoneham. Cherished grandfather of Makayla, Sydney, Dylan, and Anthony. Dear brother of the late Anthony Lopez and Josephine Buceta. Loving uncle of Anthony "Bana" Buceta. Also survived by many loving sister and brother in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his 2 grand-dogs, Lucca and Jamila. John worked many years at Boston Sausage before joining the Laborers Union Local 151 in Cambridge. When he wasn't working, John was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed horse racing and trips to Las Vegas, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Funeral from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons – Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere St, Revere on Monday January 30th at 8:45 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church (Malden) at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be Sunday 4-8 Pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory for further research on the MTSS2 gene in honor of his grandson Dylan to The Hill Family Field of Genes Fund.
