Joseph Dimattia

Joseph L. DiMattia Sr., 73, of Litchfield, NH formerly of Revere, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 31, 2013 at Southern NH Medical Center. Born in Boston MA to Louis and Lena DiMattia, of Revere, MA, he was predeceased by his loving wife Beverly Santos DiMattia, his parents Louis and Lena DiMattia, his sisters Josie Brady and Mary Limosani, and his brothers-in-law, who were like brothers to him Robert Lonardo, Frank Brady and John Limosani. Joe was the founder and owner of DiMattia Rug Cleaning and Installation and worked up to the week of his death. His son Joe Jr. will be continuing on with the business. He loved his family, the ocean, classic cars and reading. He instilled the love of the ocean in his children at an early age by spending countless summers aboard the family boat enjoying the ocean, family and friends. Joe is survived by his 3 loving children; son, Joseph DiMattia Jr. of Concord,NH, and daughters, Mia DeFilippis (Frank) of Hudson, NH and Loren Mangum of Effingham, NH; 4 loving grandchildren, Matthew Mangum (Miranda) of Oceanside,CA , Benjamin Mangum (Amber) of Wolfeboro, NH, Jacob Mangum of Effingham, NH and Megan Mangum of Effingham, NH; 2 loving sisters, Jean Scotina and her husband Danny, Theresa Lonardo as well as 12 loving nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Family and friends are invited to visit Tuesday, July 2, from 11-12:30pm at Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 128 Revere St., Revere, where the service will follow at 12:30pm. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
