Joseph E. Oppito

OPPITO, Joseph E. – of Revere, passed away on March 9, 2021 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen (McCarthy) Oppito. Cherished son of the late Ernest and Josephine (Cancellieri) Oppito. Dear brother of the late Stephen Guerra. Survived by Jessica Leammon Autilio of Revere. Joe worked for many years as an engineer for General Electric. He was a proud member of the National Guard. A visitation will be held at the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons – Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere Street, Revere, Monday, March 15, 2021 from 3:00 – 6:00 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic capacity, limits are in effect. We ask that you keep your visit brief to allow others to pay their respects. Masks and social distancing are required while in the funeral home and at church. A Funeral will be held from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons ~ Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere Street, Revere, Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony’s Church, 250 Revere Street, Revere at 10:00 AM. Interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Roslindale. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Joe’s memory to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
