It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Joseph Richard Scaramozza, affectionately known as Joe, who passed away on April 26, 2024. Originally from Revere, MA. Born on December 30, 1944, to the late Rudolph and Pauline (Quasarano) Scaramozza, Joe was a man of great character. He was known for his generous spirit, compassionate nature, and unwavering support to those he loved.
He was a loving husband to Christina Scaramozza for 56 memorable years. His legacy will continue to live on through his children, Dr. Joseph R. Scaramozza Jr. and his wife Catherine, Carmen R. Scaramozza, and Maria P. McCarthy. He was predeceased by his daughter Michele P. Scaramozza. Joe was also a dear brother to Richard Scaramozza and his late wife Marianne McGowan. He was a cherished grandfather who was always ready to share a story or a comforting hug.
Joe's supportive nature was evident in his actions, whether he was helping a colleague or spending time with his family and friends. He was as generous with his time as he was with his love. He was always ready to lend a hand or offer a word of encouragement. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His life was marked by love, compassion, and generosity.
Visitation for Joseph will be held at the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere Street, Revere, Massachusetts, on Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. All relatives and friends are kindly invited. A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024, at 10:00am, with the general public welcome to arrive at 9:30am.
