Lena "Lee" Restaino (Aldorisio)

January 16, 1927 — January 28, 2025

Saugus

Lena, affectionately known as Lee or Chickie to those who knew her best, peacefully passed away on January 28th at Salem Hospital. Born on January 16th in Malden and formerly of Everett, Lee is survived by her loving son Robert Restaino and his wife Diane of Saugus, who devotedly cared for her so lovingly over the past ten years of Lee's medical issues. Also survived by her son Gary Restaino of Florida, her loving family Betsy Solino-Restaino of Georgia, JoAnne Franzini of Pennsylvania, Camelia Gomez of Florida, adoring grandchildren Justin Restaino and his wife Ali, Jonathan Restaino and his wife Stacie, Gina Marion (Restaino) and her husband Matt, Matthew Restaino and his wife Sandra, Ross Restaino and his wife Erin, Stephen Restaino, and Daniele Restaino. Many fond memories are often spoken of by Lee's great-grandchildren Giuliana, Michaela, Amelia, Layla, Morgan, Joey, Mattea, and Tommy; along with numerous cousins, extended family and friends.

Lee was predeceased by her adoring and loving husband Victor (Vic) Restaino, with whom she was inseparable and together were forever devoted to each other's love and happiness. Also predeceased by her loving son Keith Restaino, her sister Barbara Aldorisio, and grandsons Christopher and Victor Restaino.

The daughter of George and Elvira Aldorisio of Revere, Lee was an unforgettable presence within her family and at her workplace as a paralegal at the firm of Joseph R. Mucci Law where she was employed for more than twenty years and fifteen years at Sears in Saugus. Lee was a proud resident of Everett where she and Vic raised their three sons. Lee was known to host numerous family holidays and celebrations. As a seasonal resident of Florida, Lee and Vic maintained a lovely home where it quickly became the gathering place for family, friends, neighbors, and old military buddies.

Lee lived her life to the fullest with her homemaking skills and professionalism at the office. We often said that Mom and Dad could always "squeeze a dime out of a nickel" all the time, as she continued her generous ways right up until her final days.

Gina has commented that Nana Lee was a shining example of unconditional love and a devoted wife, mother, daughter, friend, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She lived to nurture her family and create lasting memories of those special Sunday dinners. Nana's passion was to have those fresh red manicured nails and her hair teased up just right by Charlie.

Matt R adds the phrase, "Nana Lee would always ask, 'Did you eat? Did you have enough?'" as she would always be concerned with assuring you ate more than enough.

We never knew the brand name of her refrigerator as it was covered with numerous photos of her family.

"Have some chicken soup. So what if it is 85° outside today. I made manicotti today. Take some home."

We look forward to you sharing any of those special stories and memories you may recall.
