Tuzzolo, Louis C. lifelong resident of Woburn on May 21, 2020 at the age of 88. Born in Woburn on June 9, 1931 to the late Enrico and Rosaria (Torquato) Tuzzolo. Dear brother of Theresa Ruzzo and her husband Thomas of Ipswich, Mary Pollard and her husband Phillip of Woburn, and the late Gennaro Tuzzolo, Antoinette Cacciola, and Constance Piaggio. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. After high school Louis enrolled in mortuary college where he received his embalming credentials and worked at Buonfiglio Funeral Home with the original owner and eventually his son Paul. He kept his license active for many years even as he got into the real estate business. Louis later turned his interests to Real Estate and his most loved endeavor of gardening. He was a longtime member of the Woburn Gardening Club and participated for many years in the Boston Flower Show. Louis had a love of music and was a member of the traveling Italian Quartet. He would often just start up a tune and keep it going. Louis was always happy to give of his time and talents. He was a 4-H leader and would sometimes purchase a cow, sheep or goat for live instruction with his group. Louis taught Italian at the Woburn Senior Center and the Woburn Extended Learning Center for many years. His quest for knowledge often led him to night classes learning Welding, Plumbing and Auto-body in his younger years. Louis had a lifelong love of gardening; he would often reminisce of his earlier years working on Spence Farm with his life long friends. In his later years he got much joy from his greenhouse where he would grow many beautiful flowers then deliver them to his family and friends. He loved being part of the Woburn Community Garden where he nurtured many friendships and grew the best tomatoes and other vegetables. Most of all Louis loved his large family including cousins in Italy; he never missing an opportunity to be present in the joys of family life. He will be missed by all. In accordance with the CDC’s current restrictions on gatherings due to Covid-19, all services will be held privately. Interment Calvary Cemetery in Winchester. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Perkins School for the Blind (175 North Beacon Street, Watertown, MA 02472) or to the Friends of Woburn Veterans, (144 School St, Woburn, MA 01801).
