Mary (Dragone) Pierni

Pierni, Mary (Dragone) of Revere and Deerfield Beach, FL, on March 25, 2022 at the age of 101. Born in Calabria, Italy on February 28, 1921 to the late Giuseppe (founder of the Dragone Cheese Co.) and Rose (Marchio) Dragone. Beloved wife of the late Carl A. Pierni. Devoted mother of Linda Lombardi and her late husband Harold of Saugus, Janet Griffin and her late husband Robert of Swampscott, and Nancy Casey and her husband Robert of Avon, CT. Dear sister of Angie Pinnone and her late husband Gus of Watertown, Jimmy Dragone and his late wife Kitty of Watertown, and the late Sandra Webster and her late husband Charlie, and Frank and Albert Dragone. Mary was a cherished grandmother of 9 and adored great grandmother of 18. Also survived by her sister-in-law Jeanne LeDonne, and many loving nieces and nephews. Mary is preceded in death by her brother-in-laws Arthur, Albert, Ernest and Teddy Pierni, and sister-in-laws Rose Parisi, and Caroline Cella. She was active in the Frances Tomasello Club of Boston and enjoyed knitting at the Saugus Senior Center. Mary loved traveling and took many group trips with her daughter to Europe. Her late husband Carl and his 4 brothers owned the United Supermarket in Revere and Lynn where Mary did the payroll. She will truly be missed by her family and friends. Funeral from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St, Revere on Monday April 4, 2022 at 10:00am. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony's Church at 11:00am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. A Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. Entombment Oak Grove Mausoleum in Medford.
