Michael "Mike" Lucente Sr.

Lucente Sr, Michael of Revere passed away on October 15, 2020 at the age of 90. Born in Acerenza, Italy on November 13, 1929 to the late Canio and Antonia (Miglionico). He was the beloved husband of 57 years to the late Rita (Napoleone). Devoted father of Anthony Lucente of Wakefield, Gina (Lucente) Farrell and her husband Stephen of Wakefield, and Michael Lucente Jr. and his wife Renee (La Voie) of Westford. Cherished grandfather of Kaitlin (Farrell) Dolan and her husband Michael of Wakefield, Kathleen Farrell of Wakefield, and Nicole, Marissa, and Michael Lucente III all of Westford. Adored great grandfather of Madelyn Grace Dolan. Dear brother of the late Maria DeBonis. Also, survived by his five loving nieces in the United States and many loving family members in Italy. Michael (Mike) spent his early years in the beautiful town of Acerenza in Southern Italy. While growing up in Italy he was trained as a blacksmith. Following WWII, at the age of 18, he immigrated to the United States arriving at Ellis Island in 1948. After arriving in the US, he lived with his father in East Boston, and met his beautiful wife Rita during a visit to Revere Beach. After marrying, Mike and Rita lived for several years in East Boston, before settling in a home in Revere built by Mike with the help of his friends. His blacksmith training as a youth led to his lifelong work as a lighting fixtures model maker. He loved gardening and making wine, was a talented cook, and loved working with his hands. Mike was deeply rooted in Italian traditions which he has passed on to his family who will continue his legacy. Due to the current spike in Covid-19, the guidelines issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and local officials, funeral services will be privately held for the immediate family under the direction of the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St, Revere, Ma 02151.
