With a spirit as adventurous as the seven continents she traveled, Nancy Marino was a beacon of light and a symbol of strength who made the world her stage. Born on October 6, 1937, in Chelsea, MA, Nancy's zest for life was evident from an early age. Her indomitable spirit was matched only by her loving heart and smart mind. On August 2, 2024, we bid farewell to our beloved Nancy, who, throughout her life, demonstrated a remarkable sense of adventure and ambition that will continue to inspire us.
Nancy was a woman of many talents and passions. Her profession as an accountant in the military sector testified to her intelligence, while her hobbies revealed her adventurous side. Whether she was skiing down a mountain, hiking through a forest, or cooking up a delicious meal, Nancy was always in her element. Her love for travel took her to diverse corners of the globe, from the historic pyramids of Egypt to the stunning fjords of Scandinavia. Despite her wanderlust, Nancy always found time to give back to her community, volunteering as an usher for local shows and working at her local Catholic church counting offertory. Her dedication to service reflected the teachings of Matthew 5:16, "Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
Nancy's heart found its truest joy in her family. She was a loving mother to Rick and Michele Champagne, and a doting grandmother to Stacey and Chris Champagne. Her memories will be cherished by her family who survive her, and her spirit will be remembered by those who preceded her in death, including her parents Frank and Stella Marino, and her brother Nicholas Marino. Nancy's humor, evident in her love of plants, which she tended to overwater, and her driving style, fast and braking hard, painted a vivid picture of her unique personality.
We invite those who knew Nancy to leave their memories and upload photos as a tribute to her adventurous spirit, loving heart, smart mind, and ambitious nature on her memorial page. In celebrating Nancy Marino's life, we recall the words of Saint Augustine, "We shall rest and we shall see, we shall see and we shall love, we shall love and we shall praise. Behold what will be at the end without end, for what other end do we have, if not to reach the kingdom which has no end."
May Nancy's spirit continue to inspire us to embrace life with love, adventure, and ambition. May her memory forever be a blessing.
