Patricia "Pat" Hill

Hill, Patricia “Pat” of Lynn formerly of Revere on April 28, 2019. Born September 20, 1954 in Revere to the late Ralph and Margaret (Dacey).Beloved spouse of fourteen and a half years to Claire A. Murray (together for 36 years). Dear sister of Joan Della-Croce and her late husband Al of ME, Linda Cirino and her late husband George of Middleton, and Cheryl Lusso and her husband Cliff of Middleton. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. A community advocate for more than 40 years, Pat challenged the system when it was wrong. She won some important battles, including one for legislation to protect guide dogs from being attacked by other dogs. She was active for many years with the IBC New England Support Group and several guide dog groups and was an avid reader of mysteries and thrillers. Humor, facing tough decisions head on, and an inner strength combined with stubbornness got her through so much. A big joy in Pat’s life was the Harry Potter books and movies. She dealt with her Inflammatory Breast Cancer when it returned in 2007 by naming it “Draco” and said when it got really bad, she’s add its last name – “Malfoy.” She took Draco Malfoy with her this last week. Her wonderful guide dog Beacon will go back to Guiding Eyes for the Blind in the hope that he may be able to work with a new partner and bring that person the independence, love, comfort, and stability that he brought to Pat’s life. A visitation will be held at the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St., Revere on Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Private interment. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Pat Hill’s name to Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Attn: D M Department, 611 Granite Springs Road, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598.
