SANTANGELO~ Raymond F. Sr. of Winthrop formerly of the North End of Boston on June 12, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Nancy (Tragno) Santangelo. Devoted father of Joseph R. Santangelo of Winthrop, Paul A. Santangelo of the North End, Gina M. Chiarenza and husband Joseph of Saugus and the late Raymond F. Santangelo Jr. Father-in-law of Emily Santangelo of Winthrop and Carlene Santangelo of Reading. Dear brother of Florence Grasso and Gina Santangelo both of Malden. Cherished grandfather of Joann, Joseph Jr., Joseph Jr., Marc, Matthew, Nicholas, Jade and Sarah. Great-grandfather of 5. A Funeral Mass will be held in Sacred Heart Church (North End) on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 9:45am. Visiting Hours will begin in the church at 9am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Raymond was a US Army WWII Veteran and is the recipient of both the Bronze Star and Purple Heart Medals. He was also a lifetime member of the Madonna Della Cava Society of the North End of Boston.
