Richard Joseph Drinkwater, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2010. Son of the late Joseph J. Drinkwater and Altomare E. Drinkwater, Father to Cassandra Louise Beaird, Trevor Joseph Drinkwater, Jared Evan Drinkwater, Joseph Tyler Drinkwater, Grandfather to Anthony Joseph Drinkwater, Dylan Louise Drinkwater, Paxton Joseph Drinkwater, Brendan Ryan Bernstein, Jory Shai Drinkwater, Zac Joseph Drinkwater, Brother to Giovanna Drinkwater Palmer, Brother In-Law to George Palmer, Uncle to Galen Palmer, the late Christopher Drinkwater Palmer, and the late Marlowe J. Palmer. Funeral from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons - Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St. REVERE will be held Monday, April 19 at 9:00 am followed by a Mass in St. Anthony's Church, Revere at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 pm. Among Mr. Drinkwater’s many accomplishments was the founding of a manufacturing company in the 1980s. Lion Import and Development Company, located in Malden MA, was noted for introducing to the gift trade many timely and innovative items that were unique to the market. Working with designers and manufacturers in Germany, Italy and Hong Kong Mr. Drinkwater brought many highly sought after gift accessories both to mass market merchandisers and to small gift boutiques. Many of the toys, back-to-school supplies and gift accessories were designed by Mr. Drinkwater himself. Most recently Mr. Drinkwater served as Senior VP at Otis & Ahearn in the real estate industry. His marketing techniques, client service and interpersonal/organization skills positioned him in the top 6 of Boston's high transaction agents. Superior market knowledge and marketing skills benefited his clients whether buyer or seller. Mr. Drinkwater has been the exclusive listing agent for a number of boutique new construction residential developments including One Garden Street, 13 Lindall Place, The Glass Factory and hundreds of re-sale properties at Charles River Park. He participated in the management of onsite sales for larger developments including The Bryant Back Bay Boston where entry level pricing exceeds $1.5m. He consulted with developers regarding unit mix, interior finishes, pricing and target audience. Mr. Drinkwater was an active Member of the National Association of Realtors
