Tefta (Kondo) Dhima, a radiant soul whose light touched all who knew her, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2025, at the age of 83. Born in Tirana, Albania, on February 4, 1942, she was the cherished daughter of the late Vasil Kondo and Sofia (Peculi) Kondo and dear sister of the late Anastas Kondo.
Tefta leaves behind a legacy of love through her husband and soulmate of 62 years, Vasil Dhima, her daughters, Mariana (Dhima) Bellew and Kristina (Dhima) Lefteri and grandchildren, Haris Lefteri, Dhimitris Lefteri, and Dion Stavrakas, each of whom carries a piece of her spirit forward.
From her early days in Albania to building a life in Massachusetts, Tefta carried with her a heart full of grace, generosity, and boundless love. She was a woman of many gifts—compassionate, talented, wise—and her warmth made any room feel like home.
She was as thoughtful in her professional life as she was in her personal one, always ready with a comforting word and a supportive hand. In the kitchen, she poured her love into every traditional meal she prepared, each bite carrying the comfort of home and heritage. Her joy was found in feeding others, and every gathering became a celebration of family, culture, and connection.
She was the heart of every conversation, the keeper of stories, and the glue that held generations together. Whether sharing laughs in person, over the phone or chatting over Facebook, she had a way of making everyone feel seen, heard, and loved.
As Maya Angelou once said, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” And truly, no one who knew Tefta will ever forget the warmth she radiated, or the love she so freely gave.
A Visitation will be held at Paul Buonfiglio & Sons Funeral Home, 128 Revere St, Revere, on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 8:30am to 10:30am, followed by a Mass at Holy Trinity Church, 245 D St, South Boston, at 11:30am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
