Thomas Orlando Amorello

AMORELLO, Thomas O. of Georgetown passed away peacefully in his home on September 13 after a lengthy illness. Tommy did not “lose” his battle with cancer, but gained peace and grace after a 3 year long courageous fight each day to spend just one more day with those he loved. Tommy was the proud, loving daddy of Giavanna Tomi and husband and best friend of Sherylann Mosko-Amorello. He is survived by his parents Alfred Amorello of Chelsea and Nancy Amorello of Malden. He was the brother of Lauren Amorello and Gerald Smith, Michelle and Brian Hughes, and Michael and Lisa Mosko as well as son-in-law of Theresa Mosko. Tommy especially adored his nieces and nephews Aaron, Tyler and Caitlin Mantsourani, Gerald Smith and Alexa and Madison Hughes. He is also survived by many extended family members and close friends who were especially dear to him. Tommy loved being outdoors. He belonged to 2 softball leagues, a mush ball team, and a golf league up until a year into his illness. Tommy also loved lacrosse, skiing and playing frisbee with his dog Bud. He also found so much pride in his most recent project remodeling his home. Those who truly knew Tommy knew his especially big heart and unconditional love for those he loved. Cooking at home or hanging out with friends meant the world to him. He mostly loved to make people laugh, followed by a big “Tommy hug” and a “Love you guys” before he would say any goodbye. Tommy will be missed for for so many reasons…until the day comes when we can hug him again. Funeral from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons~Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St., REVERE on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 9am. Funeral Mass in St. Anthony’s Church at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday from 4-8pm. Interment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park.
