Thomas "Tom" Walles

Walles, Thomas “Tom” of Wilmington formerly of Revere on August 21st 2016. Beloved husband of the late Theresa (Ioven). Devoted father of Thomas “Tom” Walles and his wife Whitney of Chelmsford, and Rena Stroud and her husband Michael of Wilmington. Dear brother of the late Albert Walles and Bernice Imperioso. Cherished Papa of Zachary and Joshua Stroud and Adalynn Walles. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Tom served in the Vietnam War and was highly decorated in the United States Army receiving the Aircraft Medal W/V Device, Bronze Star Medal W/1st Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Commendation Medal W/1st Oak Leaf Cluster, Good Conduct Medal (3rd Award), Vietnam Cross of Gallantry W/Palm, Presidential Unit Citation, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Sharpshooter Badge 45 Caliber, Sharpshooter Badge M-16, and the silver star. He was a member of the VFW Post 2458 and the American Legion Post 136. Tom was a sports enthusiast and was past president of the St Mary’s little league in Revere where he also coached basketball. He enjoyed watching all of the Boston professional teams and spent spare time fishing. Funeral Services in the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St, Revere on Friday August 26th at 11:00am. Relative and friends are kindly invited at 10:30am. Visitation on Thursday from 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Tom’s name to the Sawtelle Family Hospice House – VNA of Middlesex-East 607 North Avenue, Suite 17, Wakefield, MA 01880.
