Hilda enviudó a sus 37 años de edad y se dedicó sola a sacar adelante a sus hijos dándoles ejemplo de lucha y perseverancia hasta que todos crecieron se casaron y formaron sus propias familias.. En vida y fruto de su amor Hilda tubo el privilegió de conocer en vida a 44 nietos y 42 bisnietos. Hilda fue una mujer de carácter fuerte, independiente y sobre protectora, muy querida por quienes compartieron con ella y formaron parte de su vida.
Ella amaba la vida del campo disfrutaba cuidar sus plantas y animales, disfrutaba sus tardes acostada en su amaca. Le encantaba paciar y irse de compras. Y así un 4 de diciembre del 2022 su luz se apagó dejando un gran vació en los corazones de quienes la amaron con el alma.Que en paz descanses mamita.
El velorio será a Paul Buonfiglio Funerla Home, 128 Revere Street, Revere de 4 a 8 pm el viernes, 9 de diciembre de 2022. Se llevará a cabo una misa fúnebre en la parroquia del Sagrado Corazón, 315 Main Street, Malden el sábado 10 de diciembre de 2022 a las 10:00 a. m. Entierro en el cementerio de Woodlawn, Everett. Toribia Hilda Martínez widow of Ortega was born in a small village in San Vicente, El Salvador, on June 17, 1939. Daughter of the late Rosalia Romero and Miguel Martinez. Sister of Francisco, Aminta, Marta, and Teresa. At the age of 14, she met Jose Ortega who would become the love of her life. They would wed at 15 and build a household with 9 children; 6 boys and 3 girls: Felipe, Nicolas, Sara, Eusebio, Dolores, Aminta, Cristabel, Romeo, and Medardo.
Hilda was widowed at 37 years of age and dedicated herself to raise her children alone, giving them an example of struggle and perseverance until they all grew up, married, and formed their own families. During her lifetime and as a result of her love, Hilda was privileged to have 44 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.
Hilda was a woman of strong character, independent and overprotective, and very loved by those who shared with her and were part of her life. She loved country life. She enjoyed taking care of her plants and animals, and she enjoyed her afternoons lying in her hammock. She loved to go shopping.
On December 4, 2022, her light was extinguished leaving a great emptiness in the hearts of those who loved her. May you rest in peace mamita. A visitation will be held at the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons ~ Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere Street, Revere on Friday, December 9 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held in the Sacred Heart Parish, 315 Main Street, Malden on Saturday, December 10 at 10:00 AM. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
