Ursula (Wehren) Maccaro

Maccaro, Ursula (Wehren) of Revere passed away on December 7, 2020 at the age of 94. Born in Berlin Germany on September 25, 1926 to the late Johann and Gertrude Wehren (Wagner). Beloved wife of 40 years to the late Anthony Maccaro. Devoted mother of Peter Maccaro and his wife Maureen of Dracut, and Maryann Russo and her husband Stephen of Winthrop. Cherished grandmother of Michael and his wife Sharon, Rebecca Maccaro, Kimberly Cash and her husband William, Jennifer Green and her husband Joshua, and Stephen Russo Jr. and his wife Emily. Adored great grandmother of Sophia, Audrey, Scarlett, Kyle, Elise, and Benjamin. Ursula was one of the 1st War Brides in the Boston area coming to Revere in 1947. She met her future husband “Mac” as he was called while he was stationed in Berlin. Their story made the Boston Globe when they arrived. Ursula along with her husband owned “Tony’s Fruitland” in East Boston from the mid 50’s to the early 80’s. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. Due to the current spike in COVID-19, the guidelines issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and local officials, funeral services will be privately held for the immediate family under the direction of Paul Buonfiglio & Sons – Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere Street, Revere, MA 02151. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethany Health Care Center, In care of Sister Jacquelyn McCarthy, 97 Bethany Rd, Framingham, MA 01702.
