Vincenza A. "Vicky" (Diglio) Carrabes

Entered into eternal rest on February 1, 2015 at home after a lengthy illness at the age of 89. Beloved wife of Marcello J. Carrabes of Revere for 63 years. Daughter of the late Francesco and Rafaella (Crisci) Diglio. Mother of Marcia Carrabes and Laurie Carrabes of Revere, Mark Carrabes of Lyttelton Harbor, New Zealand and Lisa Covais and her husband Michael of Quincy. Grandmother of Emidio ‘Dio’ Covais of Quincy. Dear sister of Frances Diglio and her companion Daniel Callahan of Revere, and Marie Romano and her husband Robert of Reading. Predeceased by her brother Anthony Diglio of Lynn and sister Clementina ‘Mindy’ Altavilla of Chelsea and Lynnfield. Vicky was a lifelong resident of Revere. She attended Boston University and was an administrative secretary for the New England Press Association. She was active in the Northeastern University Faculty Wives organization. Vicky was a devoted wife and mother well known for her cooking and baking skills. Funeral from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons~Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St., REVERE on Friday, February 6, 2014 at 9am. Funeral Mass in St. Anthony’s Church at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours Thursday from 4-8pm.
