William "Woody" Wood Sr.

William "Woody" A. Wood Sr. of Pelham, NH formerly of Revere on April 3, 2022 at the age of 75. Born in Boston on June 30, 1946 to the late Albert and Agatha (Forti) Wood. Beloved husband of 51 years to Claire (McDonald). Devoted father Cheryl Dionne and her husband Marvin of Chelsea, Lisa Medeiros and her husband Jeff of Pelham, Stacey Wood and her partner Sylvia Webster, and William Wood Jr. and his partner Jennie DiBartolomeo, and the late Michael Wood. Cherished grandfather of Allison McCutcheon and her wife Ashley, Damion Cookinham, Jeffrey Medeiros Jr. and his partner Meagan Rais, Tyler Medeiros, Matthew Medeiros, Ryan Medeiros, Thomas Famolare, Brennan Wood, Hannah Wood, and the late Zachary Cookinham. Adored great grandfather of Jordyn, Brooklynn, and Dakota. Dear brother of Maureen Wessel and her husband Gary of DE, and the late Janis Perrellla and Kenneth Wood. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Billy was a retired Chief inspector of the MBTA Green Line, he was also a retired bus driver of Paul Revere Transportation of Chelsea and he was an alumni of Wentworth Institute of Technology. He was a long time member of the Cary Square Associates of Chelsea, Beachmont VFW post 6712 and the Beachmont Yacht Club. Woody loved deer hunting, fishing, camping, bocce, cornhole, horseshoes, and spending time with his family. If he wasn’t coaching his kids sporting games, he was there rooting them on. (although his favorite teams will always be the Red Sox and the Pats). He loved watching the horse races at Saratoga race track. Billy was around horses since childhood and walked and cared for them at Suffolk downs. A Funeral from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St, Revere on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 10:00am. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony's Church at 11:00am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. A visitation will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Private Interment.
