We have years of experience caring for families, from all walks of life. Each family comes to us because they know we are leaders in our profession, dedicated to excellence in service, and have the highest integrity.
Our story spans five generations, commencing over a century ago with Leopoldo Buonfiglio and his wife, Rosa, who established the inaugural Buonfiglio Funeral Home in Schenectady, NY, in 1911. Their move to Revere, MA, in 1923 led to the opening of Buonfiglio Funeral Service at their Mountain Avenue residence.
2nd Generation (1947 - 1964):
In 1947, their son, Paul Buonfiglio, perpetuated the family legacy. Witnessing decades of prosperity, he erected the new Paul Buonfiglio Funeral Chapel at its current Revere location in 1964.
3rd Generation (1972):
Tragically, the unexpected passing of Paul Buonfiglio in 1972, at the age of 54, prompted his son, Paul Buonfiglio Jr., then 24 years old, to step into the role of continuing the family tradition. Balancing work and raising a family, he remained committed to serving the community he cherished.
4th Generation (1991):
Subsequently, Paul Jr.'s sons, Paul III and Victor, joined their father. Over time, they assumed increasing responsibilities and, in 1991, assumed full leadership.
The Buonfiglio family acquired the esteemed Bruno Funeral Chapel in 2004, expanding their dedication to the community. A year later, in February 2005, the new Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home was inaugurated, fortifying their commitment to the Revere community.
5th Generation (Present):
Paul Stephen Buonfiglio returned to the family business in 2020 after his service in the U.S. Navy and stepped into a leadership role in 2024. With a keen eagerness to carry on the traditions of Buonfiglio Funeral Home, he remains committed to ensuring a continued dedication to service for many years ahead.
Despite the passage of time and the evolution of the business, the Buonfiglio family and the remarkable team at Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home remain unwavering in their dedication to upholding a tradition of dignity and honor while serving the people of Revere and surrounding areas.
