DeMuro, Dr Theodore “Ted” of Revere MA formerly of Baton Rouge LA on Sept 26th after a long illness. Born in Brooklyn NY, son of the late Lucretia (Caserta) Horner, he graduated with a PhD from Columbia University on a full scholarship. Theodore then went on to pioneer charter schools in LA. He was the founder of the CSAL Community School for Apprenticeship Learning and then East Baton Rouge Arts and Technology School where he served as Headmaster. He is the beloved husband of Heather J. Siegel-DeMuro, devoted father of Nicholas DeMuro and cherished grandfather of Anthony and Aiden. He is also survived by his godchildren Ana Altares and Ernest Bell and many loving friends. A memorial service will be held at Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St Revere on Monday Sept 29th at 5:00pm Relatives and friends are kindly invited at 4:30pm.
