Memories of our grandmother/great-grandmother (“Gama”).... Sunday morning walks to Jim’s Variety, Sunday dinner with the family, her “flea markets”, her garden, trying to stop her from walking to Cerretani’s by herself, taking her to Jeveli’s and Royals. Most of all, we will remember her as one of the first truly independent women in our family. She loved ballroom dancing at her club, cooking for her loved ones (especially Dad/Pa), listening to country-western music, and marching in the Columbus Day Parade. She invited families into her house for pizza on Halloween, and enjoyed being around people - unless they leaned on her fence (poor Mayor Menino ). She was a one-of-a-kind. She made you feel loved - with her words and with her food! And, she made us laugh a lot. It makes us happy, picturing her in heaven, dancing again, probably feeding everyone that she’s missed, and being her old, active self. We hope that it’s Columbus Day for you every day in heaven, Gama. We will see you again some day. Until then, there are lots of people up there who’ve missed you. They can love you til we get there. Love, Vinny & Alessandra xo

Ms. Laura, I will truly miss you so! I will miss your beautiful face, your smile, your very mild, sweet nature for sure. especially, miss walking by you, and you would let out this loud "Angela!!!" and hold up your hands to me, as if it were a touchdown! as i would scream out to you "hey!!, Ms. Laura!" we would all start laughing, everyone that was around. I will miss you everyday, and will never forget you! Ever! especially, the love you had for your son Vinney. as you told me on more than one occasion "I love my Vinney, he's all I've got" what a everlasting adornment between Mother, and Son. Miss Laura, it was truly my pleasure to have cared for, ans met such a beautiful human being. All my everlasting love, Angie @ The Lighthouse Nursing Care Center.

Laura, I hope you’re in peace knowing that you’re so loved by your family. Your legacy is strong and will be remembered by everyone who had the pleasure to meet and get to know you. I, for one, will never tire of hearing about your “creative” recipes and mountains of food you would make for Steve before work trips. I truly believe you’re living it up with family and friends from the past and hope that that brings comfort to your family during this time. Chris
