Hartwell, Jennie B. (nee Giovanina Maragioglio) of Revere on February 5, 2019 at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Paul K. Hartwell. Devoted mother of Paul S. Hartwell (caregiver for many years to his mother) and his wife Dorothy of Danvers, and William Hartwell and his fiancé Dorothy Russo of FL. Cherished grandmother of Scot Hartwell, and Dylana Genzale and her husband Thomas. Adoring great-grandmother of Dylan Hartwell, Kelsey Hartwell, Thomas Genzale Jr., and Breanna Genzale. Dear sister of the late Frank Maragioglio, John Maragioglio, Josephine Kurey, Nina Margioglio, and Stephen Maragioglio. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Jennie has enjoyed a fulfilling and wonderful life. Her husband Paul was the light of her life before and during their marriage of 66+ years. She thoroughly enjoyed spending family time with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. While her husband was serving in the U.S. Navy in World War II, she was basically “Rosy the Riveter,” working on the assembly line at General Electric Company in Lynn, MA. She later became a Supervisor of many years at a local electronics manufacturing firm. She and her husband instilled strong work ethic and family values in their family. Jennie was always in control of any situation and had the maxim ‘my way’ for her life. In fact, her favorite song was “My Way” by Frank Sinatra. During her later years, she and her son Paul would visit DeMaino’s Restaurant in Revere every Sunday for lunch. She made many new friends there, especially her waitress of 7+ years, Adele. Jennie leaves many adoring and admiring family and friends who have been affected and loved by her.
