I am very sorry to hear of Steven's passing. Although I had never met Steven, I knew of his struggle thru his father, Mike. Mike and I met thru radio and a love for broadcasting. It was at a low point in my life and his encouragement helped me immensely. That low point was no where near as low as loosing a son. So I want to send my thoughts and prayers to all. This also goes for Sandy as well who sends her condolences. If it wasn't for Mike I would not have met Sandy. Gary Brefini

Dear Kathy, I'm so glad I got to know you and Steve at the dialysis center. Seeing and chatting with you both brought me a lot of sunshine. It was so hard to see both of you suffering thru Stevie's health going downhill. I wish I had some magical words that could help you thru this terrible loss, but I don't. I will keep you and the kids in my heart and prayers and thoughts. I'm here for you if you need to talk. God bless you

Stevie and I became friends in the early 90s at the Trolley Museum and stayed friends even after I left. He was always up for a good time and a laugh. I have never seen anyone so sick remain so positive. A great friend and family man. My heart is shattered. I will always remember you Stevie and your support and friendship through both good and bad times in my life. You are missed by so many.

My condolences to the family in the loss of Steven. Although I didn't know him well, I had the opportunity to meet him many years ago. Deb and I have been friends for years and she often shared with me the ups and downs of Steven's life and his illness. He sounded like a good man and fought the tough fight. To my friend Deb, my prayers are with you and your grandchildren during this difficult time and I hope that the support of your family and friends will bring you comfort.

Steve faced many challenges in his short life. And he accepted his setbacks and limitations with dignity and perseverance. He was true to himself. He worked hard when he could, gave generously of his time to charitable causes, and was always kind to his friends. Simply put, he was a good man, and he will be sorely missed by those of us who knew him - transit professionals and preservation activists - and others whose lives he touched. CONRAD MISEK

One of my fondest memories was a time when we took down the old platform at Talbott Park at the Seashore Trolley Museum. Kathy was there and so was Kelly... in her baby carrier. Charles was still an egg then. We worked hard and we worked together. Other times, we shared a room at the bunkhouse. That included Kathy and Kelly and Charles as well as my wife and son. It was a great experience for the kids! Stevie worked hard as a volunteer, even when he was not well! And his spirit will be missed and cherished by those who really knew him! Rest In Peace dear friend!
